As Associate Project Manager, you will work in the Motion Service division in New Berlin, Wisconsin. You will be leading the execution of small products or service projects, ensuring that they are executed in line with procedures, specifications, standards requirements and targets. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, communication, execution and documentation of various types of projects across ABB's Motion Service business. Working within the Project Management Office (PMO) practice group and collaborating with experience project professionals, you will be responsible for developing scopes of work, schedules and meeting financial expectations, communicating with customer stakeholders to ensure alignment of expectations and internal stakeholders for allocation of materials and resources other duties, as assigned.

Your responsibilities

  • Creating approved project plans: Scopes of work, risk mitigation plans, stakeholder communications plans and delivery schedules
  • Coordination and communication with internal and external resources
  • Project documentation
  • Conducting meetings in person or remote (example; kick off, periodic updates, closeout)
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering or technical degree preferred) with minimum 2 years of professional experience or AAS degree (technical degree preferred) with minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Candidate who has completed an internship or discovery rotation preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project management working with variable frequency drive and/or motor technologies
  • Knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft platforms (e.g. Project, Visio, Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Effective time management skills, able to work individually as well as part of a team, high aptitude for problem solving, solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Travel to client sites, as required (10 to 30 percent)
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
