Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION 

An Inside Sales Representative at SET Environmental is responsible to: 

  • Support sales and operations teams necessary to properly service customers 
  • Qualify incoming leads and work with general manager to direct leads to the appropriate sales team member 
  • Manage new customer set-up process 
  • Maintain and update customer quote status 
  • Create bids approved by management (small customers/projects) 
  • Request scheduling of projects/jobs and transportation routes 
  • Prepare job paperwork for Field Service, Transportation, and Emergency Response jobs 
  • Characterize waste and profile waste streams for incoming and outbound shipments and projects 
  • Provide disposal site pricing to sales team 
  • Prepare waste manifest and land bans for customer waste disposal 
  • Field customer complaints, support billing question resolution, and provide status updates to sales team 
  • Timely and accurate preparation of reports and customer presentations 
  • Keep organized and updated information on disposal sites and specialized equipment companies to assist in providing the best waste disposal and equipment options for sales team and operations 
  • Perform other necessary duties as assigned 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • 1-2 years of experience in the hazardous waste industry preferred 
  • Degree in environmental science related field, including Chemistry, or 5 years of equivalent experience will be considered 
  • Must be highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail 
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with different departments and management levels inside and outside of the Company 
  • Must have strong computer skills that can be demonstrated, that includes the use of Excel, Word, MS Outlook, etc. 
  • Working knowledge of RCRA, TSCA, and DOT regulations
