AutoCAD Engineering Assistant

Located in Franksville, WI
Full time, permanent position

Position Summary: Drafting of mechanical systems using REVIT and AutoCAD Lay out, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.


Specific Responsibilities:
  • Creation of site preparation drawings for the assigned modality
  • Creation of room designs for projects for the assigned modality.
  • Communication with the project teams and other parties involved in the project.
  • Work independently and/or with a team to create required customer documentation, typically including electrical schematics, bills of materials, and equipment layouts.
  • Utilize an electrical CAD software package to create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Drive the improvement in current electrical design and wiring practices within the facility.
  • Provide factory support during the manufacture of your projects.
  • Position requires the ability to successfully interact with application engineering, R&D, sales, customer, and manufacturing production personnel.
  • Assist in training other engineers and employees as required.
  • Develop and verify the design of a variety of complex products, processes, and components that are related to the field of mechanical engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Solid Works, computer skills, mechanical, architectural and electrical drawings experience a plus but optional if fluent in Cad
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or 2 years equivalent experience, with a High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in AutoCAD to create highly detailed models,and working practical designs.
  • Proficient in Router-CIM software and programming
  • Exhibit Construction methods experience
  • Exhibit (Trade Show and Permanent Installation) Structural integrity experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of tradeshow environment construction techniques preferred.

*Some field work and travel to other plants as needed.
