Wimmer Brothers is a family-owned, locally operated, multi-faceted real estate development, brokerage, construction, and property management firm.

Mark and John Wimmer representthe fifth generation of Wimmer builders who take great pride in the design, location, and craftsmanship of our communities.


Our Company

Wimmer Brothers currently owns and operates over thirty properties throughout southeastern Wisconsin in such communities as Brookfield, Greendale, Greenfield, Hales Corners, New Berlin, Oak Creek, Pewaukee, and West Allis. Many more exciting, high quality properties are currently under development.

All great endeavors are the result of a team of individuals who have united under a common mission to promote the growth and excellence to which that organization aspires. Wimmer Brothers is no exception. We are a team of approximately 160 high achievers who operate and manage the apartment communities, independent and assisted living senior residences, commercial properties, condominiums, lots, and hotel that make up the Wimmer Brothers portfolio. From the first shovel in the ground on a new development, to the property that has been in the Wimmer portfolio the longest, we pride ourselves in delivering the highest quality and best experience possible!

I greet and say goodbye to people using their names. I always apologize for any upsets first and then look for a solution. I only ever discuss concerns in private with the person involved.

I learn from my mistakes. I consistently learn, grow, and master so that I can help my fellow team members grow and master too.

I am consistent in my actions so my customers and teammates can feel comfortable in dealing with me at all times. I am disciplined in my work so my results, growth, and success are consistent.

I am a truly grateful person. I say thank you and show appreciation often and in many ways, so that all around me know how much I appreciate everything and everyone I have in my life. I celebrate my wins and the wins of my team members. I consistently catch myself and other people doing things right.

The mission of Wimmer Senior Communities is to create environments providing a superior quality of life for seniors above the age of 62 by offering a continuum of care in services and programming within a most desired and least restrictive environment, thus allowing an individual to age in place with dignity.

Our financial support is just the beginning. Wimmer Communities team members throughout the metropolitan area regularly offer hands-on help to non-profit organizations, volunteering hundreds of hours of their time and talent and immeasurable amounts of beautiful generosity.

Team Members


Wimmer Communities team members, retirees, family and friends are people who care about our communities as well as those in need throughout the world. We participate in countless hours of volunteer initiatives every year, benefitting our neighbors and the world beyond:

  • Go Red For Women - Since 2017, Wimmer Communities has been a sponsor of the Metro Milwaukee Go Red For Women Luncheon. We have committed to our sponsorship annually through 2020 as well!
  • Operation Christmas Child - Since 2001 employees have filled shoe boxes with gifts for children around the world and Wimmer Brothers pays the shipping costs. In 2017, 272 boxes were donated to children in need. We have learned that these boxes were sent to an extremely remote location in South Africa.
  • Toys for Tots - Employees and residents of Heritage House Senior Residence annually support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve by donating new toys for children in need.
  • Hunger Task Force - Wimmer Communities' employees and residents donate food items to this annual cause and our communities serve as drop off points. In 2016 Wimmer Communities contributed over 4,700 pounds of food and our 2017 goal is 5,000 pounds!
  • Community Projects for Seniors - New in 2017, Wimmer Communities is assisting this worthy organization in providing basic necessities for low income seniors. We recently collected and donated 296 household bath items, such as shower curtains.
  • Milwaukee Rescue Mission - Donations of toys and clothing generously donated by Wimmer Communities residents and employees. In 2017, 45 bags of new toys and clothing, shoes, school supplies, household and personal care items were distributed to local people in need.
  • Habitat for Humanity - Wimmer Communities supports Habitat for Humanity ReStores by contributing surplus construction materials and gently used appliances. We have recently increased our support of this worthy cause with collections of household items including small appliances.
  • The Ronald McDonald House - Donations of soda can tabs are collected year found for this worthy charity.
  • Housing First - As a sponsor of Housing First, Wimmer Communities collects shoes for the homeless year round. They are distributed to low income and disabled people in our community.
  • Tee Up For a Cure, Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse - Wimmer Brothers has been a financial sponsor of this event annually since 2010.
  • Mother of Good Counsel Sports Drive - Wimmer residents and employees provided donations of dozens of pieces of sporting goods equipment to the school through the American Heart Association Luncheon. These donations provide the students with crucial physical activity needed for overall health. Special thanks to the Milwaukee Wave for donating an additional 19 soccer balls and 36 water bottles!
